Handling Mental Illness in the Church

Format: - 1hr. Keynote | 3 hr. Workshop

This seminar is designed to help church and ministry leaders understand and manage mental health issues within the church. The seminar includes teaching components about the different types of illnesses and crises that may arise in the church and ministry organizations and suggest management solutions and resources available within Wellspring and beyond.

The Art of Listening

Format: - 2hr. Seminar | 4hr. Workshop

This is a listening skills class designed for anyone wishing to love people well and communicate better with family and friends through the skill and art of listening well. Sessions cover: why listen, the importance of helping people tell their stories, and learning the skills and art of listening.

Intentional Parenting

Format: - 20 min. keynote | 1 hr. Seminar | 2hr. Workshop

* Based on the book “Intentional Parenting” By Sissy Goff * “Being an intentional parent means you study your intention and your purpose in parenting,” Sissy Goff. Intentional parenting is an approach that uses strategies to build a healthy parent-child relationship. In this talk, Wellspring discusses the 5Cs (or characteristics) parents desire for their children – confidence, character, conviction, compassion, and competence and how to develop them through intentional parenting. This talk defines three types of intentional parenting styles and encourages parents to evaluate their purpose and importance in the role they play as a parent.
