Drs. John and Julie Gottman have been working for over 40 years with couples. They study couples to see what works in relationships, what doesn’t work, and to build interventions to help couples build healthy relationships.
The Gottman Method uses a variety of interventions to heal and strengthen relationships. They focus on creating friendship within the relationship, increasing healthy conflict management, decreasing negative interactions, and creating shared meaning.
The Sound Relationship House forms the foundation of healthy relationships within the Gottman Method. From constructing love maps to fostering shared meaning, couples cultivate strength and positivity in their relationship journey.
Ask your therapist about taking The Gottman Assessment. Your therapist can provide this for you and together you can use it within your therapy to quickly identify the key areas of distress in your marriage and plan specific interventions to help.
