Reflecting on 2021 and Moving Into 2022!

Cue the band and get the fireworks ready, because you’ve finally made it to the end of 2021! Congratulations!

A lot has happened this year, and many of us are looking forward to 2022 with the hope that it will turn out much better than this past period. As we look forward to the future, however, it’s important to take the time to process and sort through everything that has happened in the past months. In this article, we will give you some reflection questions to help you process this year and help you look forward to the next one.

Reflection Questions to Ask Yourself about 2021:

  • What are some of the happiest moments I’ve had?

  • What are some tough situations I had to deal with?

  • What is one thing that I have learned in 2021 that will help me during the new year?

  • What is one big goal that I accomplished?

  • How did my faith change over the course of the year?

  • How has my approach to dealing with my mental health changed?

  • What positive or negative habits have I formed?

  • What is one thing I wish I did differently?

  • What is one thing I plan to do differently in 2022?

This is just a small list of questions to help you get started while reflecting on 2021. You don’t have to answer all of them, and if you want, you can even create your own version. What’s most important is giving yourself the time to reflect on what you’ve gone through during this year so that you can move forward and fully embrace the future right before you.
