At Wellspring, we are working to make mental health care affordable, accessible, and attainable in our community.

Preparing for Jesus

Wellspring is a faith-based counseling center, with specifically Christian therapists. We provide counseling for people of any faith or no faith, helping clients include spirituality in their therapy as they would like. At Christmas time, however, we take the liberty to discuss the opportunity to restore our hearts and minds with the help of Jesus in our lives.

Christmas is truly one of the most wonderful times of the year. The shift in the atmosphere is palpable from the first days of December when the streets gradually unveil their magical ornaments, families plan their end-of-year gatherings, and shopping is booming.

For Christians, however, Christmas commemorates the coming of Jesus, who they believe is God incarnate. It is an opportunity for believers to renew their commitment to Jesus as Lord of their lives, and to invite Him to help them restore their hearts and minds. They can also reflect and be inspired by Jesus who led a life dedicated to others. He sat with the marginalized, fed the poor, and encouraged the rich to be more giving. He is known, by believers and non-believers to have given his life for a greater purpose.

The end of the year is a good time to reflect on our lives and to make new resolutions. Whether we are Christians or not, we can all prepare our hearts to become healthier, more compassionate, and more forgiving.

Let’s start this Christmas!
